The word “Can’t” is not allowed in my household

One of the many rules in the Watson House:
The word “Can’t” is not allowed!

When using the word “can’t” you have already made up your mind that you are not willing to try to figure it out. You just give up. Every time the word ”CANT” is used in the Watson House, 10 push ups are issued. And it’s not just for the children. As parents, we have to practice what we preach . The boys hold me and Kardaryl accountable by issuing us our push ups as well when we let the word slip. After trying, if help is needed you can ask for help, but Can’t is not an option. Removing this word from our vocabulary has taught us that anything is possible when you set your mind to it. Sometimes things don’t happen as planned but you just have to change it and try another way.

Don’t like the situation you’re in, do something to change it. Enjoy the life you live! Make the best out of what you are given. Use and build on what you are given. You aren’t here to go day to day feeling worthless. You have a purpose. Step out of your comfort zone and do something to reach a goal you previously set that you thought you could never reach. You won’t reach it if you don’t take a step forward.
