Obstacles of pregnancy nobody truly wants to hear

I refuse to lie anymore.

There are days that I don’t wear make up or get spruced up. That doesn’t mean I’m not feeling well or am tired. Usually on those days, I will get asked “Are you feeling ok? You look tired/rough?” & to save the person from embarrassment I will lie and agree with them, when in reality I’m feeling fine. I’m done saving people from embarrassment.

If you are concerned with someones mental or physical health who may look down, bless them don’t insult them. Buy them a coffee, Ask them “what’s one thing I can do that would help you,” mail them an encouraging card, send them a text letting them know the things you appreciate or admire about them. By doing these things whether the person is feeling great or truly is down and having a rough day you help build them up not bring them down by reminding them that they look rough.

During this pregnancy I get asked several times a day “How are you feeling” & my initial response is always “I’m great” when I’m reality it varies day to day and there are days that I’m not great. There are days that I have nasty pregnancy symptoms that not everyone cares to hear. So I usually just stick to “I’m great.” But it’s not my job to decipher if people truly want to know how I’m doing or not. So from now on if they ask, they get the truth.

⚠️ So WARNING, don’t ask if you don’t want to know the full truth because I will tell you the full truth and if you didn’t really care you will feel embarrassed by having to stand there and listen to my true answer.

Which can vary from hearing about my boobs leaking/huge falling out of my bra with vanes popping out, carpal tunnel, mental break downs about clothes not fitting, hemorrhoids, constipation, acne, dry skin, nausea, back pain, and/or health concerns of the baby. OR you may hear that I’m having a great day and have cleaned the whole house, but it’s a gamble asking because everything changes day to day. So if you can’t handle to hear the truth, don’t ask.
